Setting: Home entrance walkway. Door on far stage right. Empty wall upstage except for a small table, not directly in center of wall, off a foot or two to right.

When exiting other side, simply walk out to SL wings. Imaginary window upstage next to stage right door.        Time: Late 50s.
STEPHEN: late 20s. Wearing suit: Black jacket, white button shirt, and dress pants; they are torn and distressed from dirt and blood. Chest wound with heavy blood spot through shirt.
MARY: Mid-20s. Classic bright blue dress, white heels; dress distr Strength In Numbers

Can't SleepCAN'T SLEEP By

Can't sleep – why? – Been awake for a while – I did stuff, I think – today was productive, at least, for me it was – I don't know what it would amount to any one else though.
(Long pause.)
When was the last dreamI had – have I ever dreamt? – Of course I have – I remember one! I was running around with dinosaurs avoiding vampires in the country, heh. Crazy – Don't remember if any of my friends – real friends – just the blur of the bodies, Isee them during the dream, body, face, and all – but – gone wh Can't Sleep

Story of the desert.Story
1: Alex passed by a man on the road who simply sat there everyday, never moving and always looking out to the mirage past the town.
"I still see it!" The man shouts out once when I passed, "Son, don't you see it, it's beautiful". His voice sounded dry as if he hadn't talked in years but he said those few last words so patiently. "I see a tree, so tall I can't even see a limb past the high clouds, such…green grass". A smile cracked revealing the many wrinkles of a man who has done more things in his life than sit at a bench. "Oh no", his disposition changed, "there he is, a man on a horse, it's Story of the desert.

A new play.

I believe I'm working on something that could be my first full-length!

Sitting in music rehearsals for Carousel, our musical for this semester.
And as ASM, my job is to just sit right now, I don't think I even need to be here right now but all well, I'm making the most of it.

The idea of the play is pretty different, kinda. Not sure if it'll work but I'm going to continue with it because it sorta resembles different themes I have gathered from just the 4 pages I've written. I'll just say that it involves actors to play as kids. I'll say that much.

I'm making the plot as I write so, I honestly don't know how I'm going to finish it. Prolly ought to work on a plot but yeah. Don't plan to until later.

Besides that, still trying through this and my other writings, what my niche is.

What...I'm trying to convey through my writing. I think I have an idea. Of what I focus on. I know that stating that I'm trying to figure out what I want to write about is pretty lame, but I think of it like that honestly.

I'm just sure that most playwrights have a strong belief as to why they write but it doesn't mean that when they started they knew EXACTLY why they wanted to write.

I'll find my reason soon enough, I prolly already know it. I do...kinda.
